Not only did I name my MacOS X server Xserve, but so did they.

Vans has announced that they will sell a limited edition shoe designed for the band Millencolin. Rock star inspired shoes… interesting. I won’t be purchasing them.
Go drool over these Jaguar screenshots + movies, before they’re forced to take ’em down by Apple legal. Via Splorp.
After dashing my childhood memories with Episode I, George Lucas felt for some reason that he needed to continue making Star Wars movies. I was commericially ravaged by it and vowed never see another one in the theater. Now the first reviews are begining to trickle out and it looks like what most critical thinking individuals would have guessed.
“And for another, while “Attack of the Clones” is many things a two-hour-and-12-minute action-figure commercial, a demo reel heralding the latest advances in digital filmmaking, a chance for gifted actors to be handsomely paid for delivering the worst line readings of their careers it is not really much of a movie at all, if by movie you mean a work of visual storytelling about the dramatic actions of a group of interesting characters.”

The recent mailbomb suspect was a member of a local Rochester, MN band called Apathy. Unfortunately their link on Angelfire has been taken down, but you can stil download their songs off of mp3.com. I think they sound like Nirvana, in a negative way.
Why on earth would anyone choose to be a sports fan? After watching the best hockey game I’ve ever seen, I can’t imagine feeling as nervous for every game.
A synopsis of the Apple WWDC Keynote.
Jaguar sounds fucking cool and I’m stoked on Quartz running in OpenGL-accelerated graphics hardware.
Eager as I am to learn relatively new skills, I recently converted an old Gateway PC I have from Windows98 to Windows 2000 Advanced Server running ColdFusion and IIS.
Did I download any patches, you ask? Any service packs, you inquire?
But of course not, as it has been less than 1 day and I just recently got SQL Server running an imported MySQL database. Upgrades and patches are for another time.
And just now, I attempted to view some rudimentary CFM files, and voila. This is the message I received:
HELLO! Welcome to http://www.worm.com !
Hacked By Chinese!
Wonderfuckingful. How do you un-hack Windows? Anyone? All my CFM files render this way. Rad.
I dont know how many of you know this, but I work(ed) for Apple until this morning. It has been almost 2 years and 2 departments. First iTools, then Apple Retail. It has been very interesting and educational to be with two Apple “startups” during the beginning of each. All I can say is Apple is just another corporation and I for one am glad to get the fuck out of corporate America… at least for the forseeable future. I am going back to working with friends doing print work, typesetting and design. Hallelujah. I need to be creative again, web/programming work and tech/customer service just arent my gigs anymore. Anyway, I know none of you care, but I am going to be posting as ‘”trk”, the initials of my real name, Tai Ram Kahn. So, now that I am not under NDA, expect some Apple posts but a little less refrain on my part. Dont get me wrong, they are still the best computers in the world, just not the best corporation, as I once thought.
