.mock

.huh, .wtf? I dunno ’bout the name change. Pretty much sucks.

Oh…

And I have a job interview tomorrow. Like for a real-type job. Pray. For. Mojo.

Macworld just slips in under your nose when you have a life

Because of my relatively new position as full-time parent, MacWorld Expo NY kind of took me by surprise. Among the new-fangled Apple-riffic items:

  1. 17″ iMac, $100 less than high-end iMac previous
  2. New .Mac services, basically a pay-version of iTools
  3. New iSync, iCal, iChat, iTunes software. iTunes at v3.
  4. iPods: 5,10&20gb models, 5gb $100 cheaper than before. Official Windows support.
  5. Jaguar: OSX 10.2, August 24. $130, which seems like a lot to me just for an upgrade.

Don't Ever Get Hurt Around Me Again

So as of today I’m an EMT. Nationally Registered, mother approved. I got a card, an certificate, and a patch for my forthcoming uniform. It is the first thing that I’ve really accomplished, piddly as it is. I mean, I have a title now. I’ll never use it, but its nice to have the option.

The funny/silly part is that they mispelled my name on everything. Apparently, all these years I thought that my last name had two “L”s, but the National Registry believes I only deserve one. Oh well, hopefully this paperwork bug will get sorted out quickly *cue Brazil theme song*.

Now begins the long road to getting my ambulance drivers license, my San Diego County EMT card, and that little thing called a jobby job. But for now, I’m very happy and proud. I’m going out with some friends for sushi and Coldstone. Just know this: the people that are supposed to save your lives every once in a while? They’re freaks like me.
