MediaDied

So there’s this store in Denver, known to the local Macintosh-using residents as just about the only independent seller of Apple products. So if you don’t want to go to CompUSA for that RAM for your aging 9600, you go to MediaGuide. And as it seems, Media Guide is going out of business. Maybe if those fuckers weren’t total jerks, I’d care. The upside is that there’s a giant sale about to start. Who knows what I’ll end up with.

  1. I want a Apple IIc if they have one!!!! Seriously… i’d pay for it…

  2. As I recall, they have a LISA, too. 🙂 I’ll see what I can get for you.

  3. Rad, make sure it works… .otherwise fuck it… any IIc that works!!!!! They are the little(ish) white ones with a 10″ monitor that is seperate but matches the white smallish style of that model… they are RAD!!!!

  4. We need some new Poll action??? ill try to come up with one today…

  5. Every time I was in there it seemed like the IIc was the newest machine they had for sale. Fuck em! Replace them with a new Apple Store.

  6. Interesting…I’ve been dropping by this site almost daily for some time, and this is the first time I noticed you’re in Denver. Small world.

Last time I was in their store, the Lisa was still there. They always seem to have a few IIc’s on hand.

They did two repairs on a G3 we have, and I was happy with the service. Anyone know of another Denver Mac repair shop?

  7. Im in Cali, Kevs in Denver….

  8. check out microcenter, in dtc, right off I-25 & I-225, on yosemite, i think.

  9. A year or two ago MediaGuide had a NeXT Cube. Add that to my NeXTstation Turbo. Kev, I’ll be in touch..

  10. that NeXT hardware was expensive… we’ll see if those $10G prices have dropped a little in the 10 years since they were developed… 🙂

  11. Thanks Kev…actually, that Microcenter is almost within walking distance from both my home and office.
