It always seems like pipelines are the problem

The most explosive charge, Paula, is that the Bush administration — the present one, just shortly after assuming office slowed down FBI investigations of al Qaeda and terrorism in Afghanistan in order to do a deal with the Taliban on oil — an oil pipeline across Afghanistan.

These are some interesting allegations that this book makes. But what is the title of the book? They never say in the transcript. However, this shouldn’t come as a shock.

  1. Blood might be thicker than water, but oil is thicker than anything.

  2. I think if this pans out, the Democrats should fire up the impeachment engine. I doubt that would ever happen, since we’re in a “nation unity” stage right now and because this probably not serious enough to make it happen, but it happened to Clinton under less dire circumstances, so why not? Well, let’s hope (help) this (does) not get swept under the rug.

  3. Blah, blah, blah and the crack in my ass is home to thousands of aliens. Nothing is funnier then a bunch of art students talking politics….

  4. Thanks for leaving your name so we can respond to you by it. Nothing’s more pathetic than an anonymous trouble-maker. Do us all a favor and fuck off.

  5. I voted for Bush and this (if true) is very disappointing. My dad was in the oil business for 40 years and I’ll tell you that when any organization gets as big as these oil companies nothing is safe. And everthing is for sale. But the same is true for any industry, not just oil. M$ is out of control, forcing crappy “Big Brother” software on us and that fuckin’ MSN. But you don’t become President on just your good graces. The private sector puts you there. Gore backed off his investigation of the airline industry and in return received a generous donation to the Clinton/Gore campaign. Politicians, (Dems and Reps), are supported by big companies. What bugs the shit out of me is when someone thinks Bush is more corrupted than Clinton, or any other President. Remember Clinton pardoning Marc Rich?!?!? THEY’RE ALL CURRUPT.

  6. Funny the assumptions people make. I don’t think it is an accurate assumption to say that I am an art student because I’m not. Also, why shouldn’t anyone have the particular right voice concern of the goings on of the government. I merely post things on Alternate that I think are glossed over by most media outlets. Whether or not the allegations the book brings out are true, it certainly calls for investigation.

I do agree with Steve though, corruption isn’t isolated to GWB or the Republican party, Democrats and probably other smaller parties engage in it as well. In fact, Clinton funded radical Islamic groups in Afghanistan well in the 1990s.
