If you played Civ 3 you'd understand
According to a British historian after 14 years of research, the Chinese had discovered Australia and America in 1420 and that Cook and Columbus actually used those maps to ‘discover’ Australia and America.
The Chinese Civ player probably traded their world map for some lousy amount of gold per turn. Of course, the real mistake was not to load up their fleet with a couple of settlers in the first place. That and not researching metallurgy after gun powder (I think all the money went to luxury instead) lead to the downfall of Chinese Empire five hundred years later. Goddamn amateur Civ players!
Who said playing Civ is a waste of time…
