It seems two of the most well-read weblogs (Camworld and Kottke) are on hiatus, with Kottke being the one to actually say he might not be back. Cam merely suggests a two-week or longer hiatus. My world is crumbling, but not really.

Makes me wonder…with many of the more widely read weblogs, when does burnout of some sort come into play? Do the Kottkes throw their hands up in the air after the milliointh piece of insult-mail?
Dunno, but I’ve seen three or four others go down in the last week, too.
Why would someone send insulting email to a blogger? Isn’t it supposed to be like the bloger’s own webspace, only people can stop by and read if they want? If people don’t agree with what the blogger says, why don’t they just go somewhere else?
Because they can. Just look at what’s going on a Kottke right now (granted it’s not actually mail-related). Lame.
