Retinal

I have very quietly launched a new design direction for myself.. (ssshhhh…). It also outlines my new open-source RetinalPMS (project management system) that I’m in the process of developing. Take a look and tell me what you think.

  1. So where are the screenshots of the PMS? Feature set? You’re taunting us here!

  2. Actually, that was my first thought too…. where are the screenshots? I like the site, it looks really good and the content is short and to the point.

  3. In your portfolio section you should make it easier to jump from one screenshot to another in a client’s section. Right now you have to close the popup window and open it for the next one. You could do something like this.

    Just a suggestion. It’s a great site.

  4. All in due time. If you’d like to beta test the installer (that’s all there is so far) then let me know.

  5. just a quick gripe about the front page graphic: anit-aliased squares? Uh…why not just make the squares multiples of pixels so your not mapping over the edge…

  6. they look like circles not squares… non anti-aliased circles would look like shit….

  7. fuck ’em. Nice job Kev…

  8. How much project management do graphic designers need? Sounds like an answer to a question no one’s asked…

  9. Uhm. are you a graphic designer? because if you were, you’d understand that freelance designers and small shops need project management that they can’t afford to pay someone to do. im developing it for myself first, everyone else second. So yes, I asked myself, ‘do i need something to help me manage my projects and presentations?’ and i replied ‘yes. yes i do.’ and next time, leave your fucking name.

  10. Blah, blah, blah. Re-invent the wheel if you want. See if I care.

    And I am a designer.

  11. Seems real ballsy to me to make such comments and not leave a name. And even if you are a designer and don’t need it, then don’t use it.

  12. Ok…so it’s fine to praise anonymously (below), but not ok to criticize? Man you guys are defensive!
