X-Box, err PC?
After reading this article I got the feeling that the X-Box is a rather large, bulky, crash prone, beta excuse for a Game Console.
This has to be the best paragraph in the whole article;
There were also indications that the hardware is not entirely stable yet – a crash during Nightcaster revealed a familiar looking PC boot screen, and a Microsoft representative explained that the memory configuration on the floor models was different than that of the final version.
Great, so the X-Box is really just a WindowsPC without a WindowsGUI… thats gonna be fun to troubleshoot… I can see it now: Microsoft X-Box plauged by IRQ conflicts… mmmm, lovely.

WELL… we’re SUPPOSED to be getting an EXCLUSIVE report on E3 from scott…. I wonder where it is.. ?
I think the xbox, once, perfected, will be a very successful console. Computer games take years to program becuase they must adapt to the latest hardware and OS systems that hit the market, which causes the total revamp of games and engines, like what happened to Warcraft 3. The xbox will combine the killer 3d hardware from the computer gaming world, and isolate it so that games can be produced more quickly. This allow designers and coders to create better games without worrying about hardware support. It will also be nice to have american developers creating games, too, since Playstation games can only be coded on the japanese Yakuzi platform.
Yeah, but, they deliver it on a TV screen not a Monitor… So even the best GeForce3 Video Card will still look like shit… It takes more than a PC and a good Video Card to make a Gaming Console… I dunno, I think the idea of a DOS (esentially what it is) based Game Console is wack…???
with that whole photoshop fiasco earlier this year, the X-Box is really shaping up to be a winner.
Photoshop fiasco..?
Yeah, Screenshots of the X-BOx released by MS had obvious Photoshop flares and clipping paths… they were very very fake….
