Where's the money going?
Normally a strong proponent of technology in the classroom, I’m beginning to wonder if it’s gone too far. At least below high school. Why?
My son’s teacher has a few compelling thoughts on the subject.

Wow. Thats fairly disturbing, we could wire that whole school for a tenth of that… ridiculous.
yeah…I have a hard time understanding why it’s more important for an elementary school to pay money for cables and servers instead of giving out raises…and Tai’s totally right, the whole place could be set up with servers/computers/wireless or wired for soooo much less than that.
I agree with all three of you, but, as I told Kev already, he’s very lucky for his kid to have a teacher like that.
The money most of the time come from the 1996 “e” rate and is part of the telecommunication act. Your phome bill has a connection fee and this is what it pays for. The scandal here is big bussiness is ripping off Ammeria. NEC, Verizon ,IBM and others our inflating cost in wiring and furnishing schools equipment.
