Britney Kilcher

Okay, so what the fuck happened to Jewel? I guess her new ‘direction’ is unsurprising to a lot of you, but me, I thought she was pretty swell. For a while anyway, basically during the run of her first album. For those of you keeping score, she is officially the embodiment of selling out.

  1. Wow. That Jewel tracklist has the most Prince/31337-speak I’ve seen in a while. I’ll C U if U 2 R kewl. Anyways, Jewel’s kinda like Rent or Bel Biv Devoe: a strange phase in one’s life.

  2. That “intuition” song is pure wanna be no doubt — with the production mind set of britney spears.

  3. it’s really sad you put Rent on the same list as Bel Biv Devoe…. Maybe seeing it on broadway does make a difference, plus you were a tad more into it than i ever was.

  4. never trust a big butt and a smile.

  5. If you check out her video on iTunes Music Store, it’s basically a “making of intuition” video, where she describes her “new direction” in the video as pure satire.

  6. satire that sux ass

  7. Jewel might have tried really hard to sound like a soulful, talented folk singer/songwriter on her first album, but that doesn’t change the fact that she was really just a pop-star with a good voice that was trying to be something she really wasn’t. Get over it Kev.

  8. hey retards- its satire. shes making fun of people like britney spears, not trying to act like them. but i guess your to stupid to understand that.
