61 inches of love..

So NEC released a new 61″ Plasma monitor today. It does the wacky resolution of 1360 x 768. Gi-fucking-gantic. And utterly useless, in my opinion.

    I don’t know…useless for people like us, certainly, but probably useful for larger companies that have to give presentations, or training centers that need a display in the front of the room (and find projector quality not good enough). Particularly I’m thinking of companies that regularly use videoconferencing rather than flying people around for meetings.

    1360×768 isn’t that wacky when you consider the Powerbook G4 has a screen resolution of 1152×768. It’s widescreen, baby.
